Prishtine 3rd of March 2017 – Kosovo Customs is the newest member of the World Customs Organization. WCO is the only organization and one of the biggest organizations in the world that represents 180 countries. Kosovo is the 181.
Through the participation in this Organization, Kosovo Customs will have the possibility to access on information and will be co-participant in international operations on terrorism combat, money laundering, and illegal market in general. Being a member of WCO, Kosovo Customs will contribute in economic development of the country through automatic adoption of procedures, analyzed and studied processes from all Customs Administration of WCO.
The Republic of Kosovo through WCO became with automatism the member of international convents that are implemented by WCO, therefore this further contributes on creation of inter border facilities and further decrease of businesses costs.
Customs will be credible partner in this organization and will provide that our participation will not contribute only interests of the Republic of Kosovo but also the international market chain.
